Aubrey, TX
The City of Aubrey was established in 1867. Aubrey largely began with homesteads of the Edwards family who were instrumental in the initial development of the young town. Its 2022 population was 5,729. Aubrey was initially known for the peanut farms that surrounded the town that eventually gave way to large horse ranches, agriculture, and residential developments. Students in Aubrey attend Aubrey ISD campuses (2,644 students) and some areas are served by Denton ISD, Prosper ISD, and Little Elm ISD.
